Untangling

She said, "I'm not just mad at you, I'm mad at myself."
She said, " I understood your poem, and it's sitting on my shelf."
"I wish I figured out sooner, the way I felt about you."
"So maybe you'll change your mind, because I think I want you to."

What you feel does not mean nothing,
I wanted to give my heart to a Ring.
I'm still waiting, you will always have the truth,
I'm waiting for our feelings to untangle from our youth.
A poem. 12/fr.

You Mean To Me...

I found you in the center of a place
I have never known.
I revealed to you a part of me
That I have never shown.
It truly was a field of dreams
in which I held you in my arms.
I'm forced to pull you close
I'm captivated by your charm.

Hand in hand we stand
Over of city of lights.
Your touch comforts me
as if I felt it every night.
You have done everything right
In this enchanted evening.
I can't explain the smile
That your presence brings to me.
I can't explain the feeling
that has enveloped me.
But I can explain
all of what you mean to me.

You mean to me that...

There is someone to think of as the sun rises.

There is someone to dream of when sleep entices.

There is someone to discover what makes love so timeless.

I Should Have Known Better

Your words pierce through me
like an arrow of pain.
They pierce right to the center
when I should have known better.
I should have known better
than to act this way.
I should have known better
than to fight my desires
and experience the shame.

Vivid Image (Now a Memory)

With no vivid image or hand to hold,
To fight the night, to fight the cold,
No struggle between the weak and the bold,
With every apology I have ever told.

With no vivid image, or lips to kiss,
No hope of feeling more than this,
No more words to speak, or qualities to miss,
I'm now a memory because you are his.

Puzzle Piece Thoughts

Puzzle piece thoughts behind a chipping face,
Complexity has brought us a beautiful waste,
It contains many fragments and parts,
Of lost love and lost hearts,
Correlating time and reality,
Using a broken clock we cannot see.

We will never say never,
To our aimless endeavors,
The whispers of what love was and is,
Are rewritten by a feeling like this,
Twisting each others words,
To prove that love is all that we have heard.

A poem. 12th Grade

Is Forever Enough?

Do you know what I would do to make you smile?
To make you happy, if for only awhile,
If my wishes were dreams, and my dreams came true,
Coud you trust me enough to love me too?

In a world of hope, will I hope enough?
I will wait for you forever, but is forever enough?

I have dreamt of your answer, and you deserve more,
And you deserve better than any love before,
You may not remember a lost cause as myself,
Passionate words collecting dust on your shelf.

In a world of hope, do I hope enough?
I'm waiting for you forever, but is forever enough?

A heart unnoticed is still a heart in the moment,
And moments with intent are moments well spent,
The moments we find cannot be followed behind,
Because lost causes are caused by a love that has lost us.

I wonder in this world of hope, if I hope enough,
Know that I will wait for you forever if forever is long enough.

(I wander in our world of hope, and found that you can never hope enough,
I'm waiting here for you forever, hoping forever is long enough.)

A Poem. 12th Grade

Never What We Dream

She's the one that I'll stay up for,
Just to hear her say goodnight,
I have heard it all before,
Simple words start taking flight,

Propelling airwaves of emotion,
The distance between us closes,
Closer than we have ever been,
Our hesitating lips hold familiar poses.

Take a picture so you don't have to remember,
And you can discard your memories,
Falling leaves of dropping dreams in November,
Standing alone, an empty road, with auburn clothed trees.

I can look but I can't love you,
So fragile our desires,
Delicately held in high esteem,
But nothing is ever what we want,

Never what it seems,

Never what we dream.

Lock and Key

With words interpreted as if they were clouds,
Where there once was a lock and key,
Now feelings are freely allowed,
Remembered like carved names on a tree.

This whisper is more audible than ever before,
Drowned out but carried by the winds troubles,
A part of me that I had hoped to restore,
Is wonderfully irreplaceable.

Feelings of Love Lost in Translation and History

What is masquerading as a dissipated dream following my every tread?
When every backward glance surrenders more of a forgotten heart
Forgotten for conscience's sake, but begotten for what love intends
I shall not say it haunts me but rather reminds me of loves hardest part

Every sign is another story to fade into the night
Every breath is a memory that is just passing through
Every intention is revealed under each illuminated street light
And every star is a wish that never came true

And truth be told, guilt holds my hand just as loving as a promise
There are untold stories that can only be read from silent eyes
And the slightest breeze has diminished the dreams vividness
But it still lives in curious minds and only comes out for a cry time to time

Every step is a struggle between necessity and morality
Every whisper is a longing feeling my heavy heart has known
Every blink is an emotion that has gotten the best of me
But inside there is a soul that has grown.
